I built the platform I couldn't find.
I'm a lactation consultant with nearly two decades in this work. Before private practice, I spent years in three different hospitals — so I've seen over-charting up close: screens full of fields nobody reads and documentation that takes longer than the visit. I've also seen charts that completely miss the breastfeeding dyad, treating mom and baby like two strangers who happened to show up together.
Then in private practice I ran on tools built for everyone but lactation consultants — forcing my dyads into single-patient charts, copy-pasting the same text a hundred times, and stitching together billing that never quite fit. I even tried the platforms built specifically for lactation, and still none of them were the simple, efficient tool I was looking for.
